Well in Classic/Extended format people have been hyping up this combo.
Remove all counters get an indestructible legendary 20/20 black Avatar creature token with Flying named Marit Lage into play.

This can happen Turn 2.

Personally... going to stick with my Classic Bazaar Dredge deck. Still the fastest deck in the Wild West imo.

Did 178 damage turn 2 the other day. Guy told me to fuck off... haha.

Im thinking off adding the Gravelord. Sending the bloodghasts in for damage which cant block and will pop the counter for this guy if blocked would be nice. Also, that equipment is quite good for vamps. Also, those are permanent counters on the creature as well.

Im thinking of taking Sorin out, im not too sure a single one of him at 3BBB is the greatest idea. Eldrazi is definitely out.

As a 100 Card Singleton player milking as much erm... milk out of a card is what I thrive on... Hexmage is a big fat cow.

Well I think with Hexmage out... all of those enchantments/artifacts/creatures/Planeswalkers that utilize counters are going to be nerfed.

Thats prob why online stores like Starcitygames.com are selling Hexmage which is an uncommon for $1.50 already.

Just looking at what type of decks are being played. I would stock up on those Hexmages while you can.

I think Hexmages is going to be the new Kitchen Finks of the Standard Format.

Ok here is the new list for now, ill be testing this out against humans on friday, possibly tomorrow. For now im just using the Deep IQ solitaire engine to get a basic feel. Dont know if you have any other solitaire variants to help, but:

4x Vampire Lacerator
4x Bloodghast
4x Vampire Nighthawk
4x Gatekeeper of Malakir
3x Malakir Bloodwitch
3x Vampire Nocturnus

4x Tendrils of Corruption
4x Sign in Blood
3x Disfigure
3x Quest for the Gravelord

20x Swamp
2x Marsh Flats
2x Verdant Catacombs

Still tweaking the side board. A lot of the columns from the pros i have read are very down on the choice of Duress in this sideboard. My deck is a minor tweak on something i saw. Check out this link and the review of a Vampire Deck that placed 7th in a big 5k.

Read the article. He has some good points. However, I still think those quest cards are going to be good in draft and horrible in constructed.

I rather just main deck 4 Hexmages. Either way they are a blocker/attacker Vampire with first strike that kill Planeswalkers, Quest Enchantments, and other random cards. So it will never be a dead card.

Looking forward to hearing how your games are going to go this weekend tim.

I do think this one is a better fit though.

I don't think I am going to go with Vampires when this gets released online. Going to go for a Blighting, Bloodbraid, Bloodchief Ascension Build.

Some live updates because I am bored.

Match one against aggro red:

Game 1 guy got greedy with 2 lands and never got going. Game 2 a lot of ball lightnings and hellsparks but I had disfigure to quell his attacks. He was drawing off the top of his deck and I used tendrils on his siege gang to finish it. I should have sideboarded in hexmage to first strike his hasty tramples. Next round in a few minutes.

Yeah, Lotus Cobra is quite insane.

Match 2 was a mirror match that i handled with ease.

Match 3 was another one where i couldnt draw land.

Match 4 i played some dude who played a pure artifact deck and then hit me with Tezzert after taking 4 turns in a row.

Match 5 i played a white/red deck which only had a Baneslayer as his bomb, but Malakir Bloodwitch stopped it from all attacks.

So i ended up 3-2, not too bad. bout 26 people 8 vampire decks. Nocturnus must be a 4x card. That is literally a win condition, not to mention its abilities stack.
