Just unlocked the last team member. Did NOT see that coming. Had a few different theories also. None of them were right. Pleasantly surprised.
... talking like Mordin. |

Beat the game late last week. I'll discuss my impressions in person with those that have beat it, but suffice it to say, I was pleased.

Chris play 1 then 2...
Currently playing Vanguard. Its a total riot. Crap class, but an intense exp imo. Going to build him up as much as possible then go into insanity mode. |

Im guessing you just started, because once you level up your main skill(to improve that charge) vanguard absolutely demolishes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72keVx68zoE |

I'm about to start the "suicide mission". I plan to beat the game tonight.
Dave, that video is awesome. Josh was telling me Vanguard was like one of the worst classes though. Are there other good vids of rapeage with the other classes? I'd like to see some of the others in action before I start my Insanity game. Also, how are you guys going into insanity? By starting a brand new character or with the character from your normal playthrough with skills leveled already? |

Has anyone else noticed the lack of hanar?<--Not plot related, I believe?
Sentinel class is pretty nice on my end. The heavy weapons are what really bring it around though. Pretty much a human, biotic, techno-tank. I really like the power upgrade style of this game. I'll probably choose a different class the next go around. Looking at engineer or infiltrator. Think the stealth might be fun. |

Yeah, after watching that video, I think that guy was just going to own no matter what. He's definitely got some level of finesse down with vanguard.
What makes sentinel the strongest on paper is it's range of skills. Overload, Warp, and Tech Armor. It's probably the most durable class, and with both warp and overload, you're set on dealing with the armor, barriers, and shields, you don't have to sit and wait for your team to bring them down with their warp and overloads. Your warp and overload are always stronger than your team's too, from what I understand... you get more bonuses on your stuff from your class skill points. Soldier is still super strong because adrenaline rush is probably the single best skill in the game. Nothing is as durable as tech armor, though. Even though those classes are better on paper, that guy in the vid took vanguard pretty far, it sure looks pretty... |

I am personally loving Vanguard. IMO it really pushes you to use your squad mates/Micro Manage effectively. I decided to play it on the Normal difficulty then ramp it up to Insanity on my next go around.
Even though I am pretty sure its not meant to be played like this the Vanguard class really appeals to my personal twitch/snap judgment style of play. I love directing my team ahead to a pocket of enemies in the middle of the field while I charge to a pocket of enemies on the far side of the field. I end up slamming 1 or 2 enemies in the air or off the platform, shotgun Mr. Jack random in the face, and melee anyone else still standing around with a thumb up their ass. Meanwhile, my squad mates should just start exchanging fire with their targets. I should already have charge ready to flank them while they are occupied with my squad. There has been a couple times when I would propel my enemy from behind only to see them land in front of Grunt. Which is always funny. This happens pretty fast fyi and forces you to micro manage faster. End of overly enthusiastic Vanguard Class Rant. :P ************* Haro, I am not sure one which is better to do, since your enemies will be beefed up while your weapons are crap on you do Game+. I plan on posting on the Vanguard forums to see which gives me the best advantage to survive Insanity Mode. Either way, I am pretty sure each class differs with this choice... fresh game versus game+. Heya... when do you guys want to do ME2 movie night? I dont have a collectors edition so I will go where it is being played. My place is always available. Pizza? Beer?!? |
