Actually Warp makes Overload obsolete. It's actually pretty redundant, and I do not understand why they gave that class both. Incendiary or some other tech power like AI hacking would have been better in so many ways. The difference? Overload reduces shields and inflicts minor damage, more so on synthetics. Warp reduces shields and detonates other biotics on the field. Does WAY more damage, easily twice as much at the same level up no contest. Warp curves around corners and cover. Against bosses or VERY large enemies, I end up not even wasting ammo, just warping them. I forgot to mention that Warp stops regenerating enemies as well. Oh yeah the power regenerates faster too, meaning...more Warp? I think so.

My fights tend to go one of 2 ways. Way 1: Cover, Warp all day. Win. Way 2: Warp, Heavy weapon/shotgun shot, cryo blast, shatter their frozen face with melee. Against multiple enemies sometimes they blow up my shield, all get knocked down and I just melee them all while regenerating the shield.

I'm probably not going to level up Throw past what it is. Only because I use it after Warp to knock enemies off of things. Tech Armor is completely amazing. My only beef with this class is that some weapons/powers are redundant and wasted. Throw should be Pull or Lift to close the gap between long range and close range enemies. But supposedly it's the most powerful class so, nerfed? I don't want him to be MORE powerful, just maybe different. I only use half of him.

George, you silly goose. Warp can't go through shields, only barriers and armor. You need Overload for shields.

Ok... just finished reading all 37 pages of Vanguard info...

From what I can tell at least with that class this it is a lot harder to start off doing New Game+ in the early stages, but well eventually even out one the character starts to level up. Chances are I am going to start off with a fresh game on Insanity.

Maybe I need clarification on "shields" because Warp literally kills everything or goes around it. I haven't beaten the game yet, but I have not found an enemy Warp did not completely pwn yet either. I was using Overload until I came across an enemy that wasn't really effected by it. I started trying out my other powers, and when Warp hit it, it put more than a gaping hole in the side of it. Since then the game has become 90% Tech Armor and Warp.

EDIT---

Come to think of it I think I will redo my talent points and not even activate Overload if at all possible and only use Warp for the rest of the game. Bleah Josh.

DOUBLE REVERSE EDIT---

Came across a forum to explain. Shields are blue, Barriers are purple. But I STILL have not had a problem with them, and STILL I will take Overload away. Just really feel it is unneeded. Maybe I will change my mind later.

Oh feel free to do your points however you want. I just didn't want you to go through the entire game thinking that warp destroyed all 3 types of protection.

Phil, what shotgun reloading trick? Relay any neat tricks for glitches here so the rest of us can see, please!

Beat the game last night and already wish I could play the next one.

Imported my renegade Bora Shepard from ME1 and started a fresh insanity game as a Sentinel. The class is very unfocused. Jack of all trades, but master of none. I'll be the first to admit the skill set is awesome. No special weapon ammo kinda hurts though. I chose Armor Piercing ammo as the bonus talent to compensate, but now I'm left with a ton of skills that I need to spread out all my talent points on. Tech armor combined with Sentinel's lack of shotgun training is extremely frustrating. The stun it causes when it dissipates is very short and the range is practically point-blank.

There is one particularly frustrating part in Archangel's recruit mission where you have to take out a flame thrower Vorcha behind a barricade. You can turn the corner, the tech armor explodes almost immediately from the frame thrower stunning the Vorcha and then you can shoot your sub maybe for a second before the Vorcha recovers and kills you instantaneously. Frustrating because I would have liked to utilize Tech armor as more of an offensive tool, but it looks like you are supposed to run the fuck away. Especially if you stun multiple enemies and they will all recover that fast. You better not be there when they do.

Maybe the skill will improve significantly when I max it out. I'll reserve judgment.

Conversely, Soldier and Vanguard have very OBVIOUS, focused builds. Max out unique skill, class skill and ammo type. Get huge sniper rifle or Revenant assault rifle with Soldier and Claymore with Vanguard. Rape.

Phil, Vanguard does look fun. I'm going to make my renegade male one. George, Infiltrator does look fun. Class description mentions some kind of sniper zoom bonus in addition to that stealth cloak. I wonder if it's better than sniping than Soldier. Gonna try that class last. Engineer and Adept don't seem particularly fun from their abilities. Engineer seems very very lazy. haha.

Hmm... actually, I wonder how broken a team of 3 engineers spamming the field with attack drones would be. That might be fun to watch.
