Oh, my reasons are only tangentially related to lack of Flash support. It's the overarching activities of the company under Jobs' heavy hand. He essentially says "fuck you" to developers, all the while telling us developers that if only we'd be subject to his vision, things would be so much better for us (as if, we all know how this sort of activity turned out in the Microsoft era of the mid 80's to mid 90's).

The Flash debacle is just a symptom of the malignant cancer that is Steve Jobs. It's very obvious that Apple's collective balls are in the stranglehold of a senile, paranoid douchebag.

I don't expect Apple to cater to me; I know I'm not their target market. That won't stop me from telling people why they shouldn't be a part of Apple's target market, either, though. Things have to change at Apple before I would change my opinion.



In other news, I do think Apple is going to start taking more and more hits. The Steve Jobs diatribe against Flash this morning, and now I watched the Daily Show from last night, April 28... Jon Stewart spends 10 minutes ripping apart Apple for their recent behaviour. I can't even tell you how delicious it was, haha.

Worth noting that Stewart essentially says the same thing I've been saying for a while - their behaviour stinks of pre-monopoly-lawsuit era Microsoft.

Personally, I just don't like apple products. They have a life of about two years... then just die.

I didn't realize how bad their products were till I sat at iStore Genius Counter for about 45 minutes and just watching all of these unhappy customers bring in their apple products that just went to crap.

I tried watching that Jon Stewart video, but instead got this message about how my iPhone device isn't supported. El oh el. If apple won't cave, then isn't the most likely scenario that sites will just start adopting their standards so as not to alienate all the mobile apple device owners? Then again apple users have always just bit the bullet when it comes to supported stuff (games and software).
